Item is a hand-made bowl of white ceramic with a black glaze. The interior of the bowl shows many women with their hand raised. The rim contains the names of Indigenous women who have died due to abuse and addiction. The names include the artist's sisters and cousins. The exhibit "Judy Chartrand: What a Wonderful World" occured October 19, 2016 to March 26, 2017 at the Bill Reid Gallery. This piece was purchased for the exhibit. |
