Photograph depicts Bill Reid (left) and Doug Cranmer (right) in the process of carving a Wasgo (Sea Wolf). Reid is on top of the sculpture, while Cranmer straddles a beam beside it. They are working outside surrounded by trees and wood chips. The Wasgo sculpture was commissioned by the University of British Columbia for display in Totem Park. Reid and Cranmer completed the sculpture in 1961.
