Photograph depicts the centre of a totem pole. It features a bear with a frog in its mouth. On verso, bottom left corner: 3/4 Haida house project, UBC carving shed. 1961 On verso, bottom right corner: Takao Tanabe 1961-2009 The totem pole was one of seven commissioned by the University of British Columbia for display in Totem Park. The totem pole was relocated to the Museum of Anthropology (MOA) in 1978 and can be viewed there today. For more information see the MOA online collection, object number A50033. |
