Written along the bottom: What was supposed to become th[e] first of the great Cavelti-Reid creations & who knows, still may Bill R In ca. 1980, Bill Reid created this drawing of a bracelet as a proposal for a collaboration between himself and Toni Cavelti. Unfortunately, Reid's health went into a decline before the project could be realized. In 2014, after Reid's passing, Cavelti took five bear masks of Reid's design that he had cast in ca. 1985. He crafted the five adjoining panels to create The Cavelti–Reid Bracelet (2006.1.5.1). |
